Why ResQGear exists
ResQGear was founded on a simple idea: responsible firearm ownership does not stop at preparedness for defense - it also includes preparedness for medical response. In firearm-related critical incidents, preventable deaths are most often caused by uncontrolled bleeding from extremities and chest trauma. The tools exist. The training exists. The weak link is timely access and effective intervention when seconds matter.
As responsible citizens, we have the right to possess firearms. With that right comes the expectation of responsibility beyond the moment a threat is stopped. Defensive situations unfold quickly, and the moments that follow can be just as critical as the moments before.
How we think about design
- Integrated, not tacked on. Medical readiness is built into our designs from the start, not added later as an afterthought.
- Real use cases first. Gear should earn its place by solving real problems without introducing new ones.
- Simple under stress. When fine motor skills are gone, adrenaline is high, and time is brutally short, access to immediate trauma intervention must remain fast, intuitive, and consistent — without added complexity.
Who we build for
We design with input from first responders, instructors, and experienced professionals — but we build for responsible citizens who understand that readiness extends beyond the moment a threat is stopped. Whether you carry a firearm for work, train regularly, or keep one for personal protection at home, ResQGear supports a complete approach to readiness — one that includes the ability to preserve life when seconds matter.
Where we’re headed
ResQStock™ is the first step in a broader ecosystem of integrated medical readiness. We are building platforms and medical solutions designed to work together — keeping critical intervention tools closer, faster, and easier to access when needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does this stock seem larger than the average market stock? Does it really have to be that size?
Yes.
We get that question a lot.
The additional size isn't cosmetic - it's what allows the stock to securely store critical emergency equipment while maintaining strength, functionality, and comfort. Simply put, the equipment has to fit somewhere. If all of this gear could be stored inside a standard-sized stock without compromise, someone would have done it already.
Every dimension serves a purpose, and every inch is dedicated to making emergency medical equipment available when it matters most.
Why would I want medical equipment attached to my rifle?
Because emergencies don't send a warning first.
The goal is simple: if you have your rifle, you have immediate access to life-saving medical equipment without searching through bags, pockets, or separate pouches.
Ask yourself this: Think about the last time you were training or at the range. If someone suffered a severe bleeding injury, would you have had immediate access to a tourniquet, wound packing gauze, or chest seals - or would valuable time have been spent searching for them?
Many firearm owners keep firearms readily accessible but don't routinely carry trauma equipment on their person. This system helps close that gap by keeping critical medical gear with the firearm itself.
More importantly, it removes the moment of panic where you're asking yourself, "What can I use?" or "Where is my medical gear?" Instead of searching, guessing, or hoping something is nearby, you already know where your equipment is and can focus on the problem in front of you.
While no piece of equipment can guarantee an outcome, it can eliminate one of the biggest delays in an emergency: not having the right tools immediately available.
What medical equipment can be stored in the stock?
The stock is designed to accommodate commonly used emergency medical items such as:
- Tourniquets
- Compressed gauze
- Hemostatic gauze
- Chest seals
- Nitrile gloves
- Medical tape
- Permanent markers
- Wound packing materials
- Other similarly sized emergency medical equipment
Storage capacity may vary depending on the specific equipment selected and stock configuration.
What materials are the stocks made from?
Our stocks are manufactured using durable engineering-grade polymers selected for their strength, impact resistance, environmental durability, and long-term reliability.
These materials are specifically chosen to withstand real-world use in demanding conditions rather than simply looking good on a shelf.
Are they 3D printed or injection molded?
Production models are intended to be injection molded to ensure maximum consistency, durability, and manufacturing quality.
Prototype and development models may be produced using advanced 3D printing processes during testing and evaluation, allowing designs to be refined and improved before full-scale production.
Are they strong enough for hard use?
Absolutely.
The stock was designed to be used - not displayed.
Materials, geometry, and retention features were selected with real-world impacts, transportation, field use, environmental exposure, and everyday abuse in mind.
Does the storage compartment make the stock weaker?
No.
Storage features were incorporated into the design while maintaining structural integrity and functionality.
A hollow space only becomes a weakness when it isn't engineered properly. The storage cavities are an intentional part of the design, not an afterthought.
Won't the equipment rattle around inside?
No.
Equipment is retained using purpose-designed storage cavities and retention features intended to keep contents secure while remaining quickly accessible when needed.
The goal is retention without frustration.
Why not just keep medical gear in a pouch?
You absolutely can.
The problem is that pouches get removed, forgotten, loaned out, left behind, or simply aren't attached when they're needed most.
This system helps ensure critical medical equipment remains with the firearm, providing immediate access when seconds matter.
Is this a replacement for a full medical kit?
No.
Think of it as immediate-access emergency equipment, not a substitute for a complete trauma kit.
The goal is to provide rapid access to critical intervention tools while larger medical resources are being accessed or brought to the scene.
Can I customize what I store in it?
Absolutely.
While the system was designed around emergency medical equipment, users may configure storage based on their training, mission requirements, personal preferences, or operational needs.
Is this the world's first stock with integrated tourniquet storage?
To the best of our knowledge - and based on the prior-art review conducted during examination of our patent application by the United States Patent and Trademark Office - we are not aware of another firearm stock specifically designed with integrated tourniquet storage and emergency medical equipment retention as a primary function.
That's exactly why we built it.
Why was ResQGear created?
Because the most important piece of equipment on the range isn't always the firearm.
In an emergency, the right medical equipment can save a life. ResQGear was built around a simple idea: if you're already carrying the rifle, you should already have access to the equipment that may matter most when things go wrong.
Preparedness shouldn't require extra steps. It should already be there when you need it.
